Physical Therapy
Those who’ve experienced pain or injury understand all too well how the suffering zaps your energy, interferes with sleep and limits your function. Left untreated, pain can become progressively more debilitating and often leads to more severe damage.
Many people settle for a lower quality of life, when in fact the pain can be effectively treated at its source. As clinicians, physical therapists provide invaluable diagnostic insight to reveal both cause and source of pain, as well as natural, noninvasive interventions to relieve it.
Blending medical and wellness models of healthcare, Tish Kettler offers a highly individualized, integrative approach to treatment. One-on-one, 60 minute sessions ensure the highest quality and plenty of time for healing hands-on care, client questions and helpful education.

Customized Exercise Programs
Muscle imbalances. Yes. We all have them (even physical therapists)! Unfortunately, muscle imbalances and harmful movement patterns are major culprits predisposing us to pain and injury. Key to the recovery process, Tish designs an individualized exercise program for each client. This ensures that the specific postural imbalances of each client are addressed. In turn, healthy alignment is restored and the chances of future pain greatly reduced.
Rather than a "no pain, no gain" mindset regarding exercise, the focus is fine-tuning the body through postural, flexibility and gentle strengthening exercises. Exercise progression is then tailored to meet the functional needs of each client, whether he or she wishes to return to yoga, a friendly game of golf, gardening in the backyard or rigorous, competitive sports.
Education
Knowledge empowers the client to be an active participant in his or her recovery by providing information that can easily be applied in everyday life. Through biomechanics training, for example, clients learn how to move and lift in ways that help to avoid re-injury. Ergonomics training and education regarding correct positioning (for sleep, work, etc.) also help the client to gain control over pain. Educational topics are tailored to the diagnosis, lifestyle and circumstances of each client.
Additional Interventions
Modalities to calm inflammation and alleviate pain are employed as needed. Postural taping is also used when indicated in order to provide external support for strained tissues as they heal and to re-educate appropriate muscle groups.
"Tish has a gentle spirit that could calm any storm. She gives off a light that gives hope to those in pain." --K.W.
